Bowtique offers on-site wedding and event hair and makeup with sisters Meg and Monique Ryan. The pair make an excellent team and can be booked as a duo or solo artists for both hair and/or makeup.
Meg Ryan
Business Owner - Hairstylist - Makeup Artist - Hand Tied Extensions
Meg is the founder of Bowtique, queen of updos, and an overall hair wizard. She is fun-loving, good natured and an outstanding hairstylist and makeup artist. She will help bring out your natural light and glow as she genuinely listens and collaborates with you on her next move to ensure that you'll feel confident and excited about about your look.
Along with specializing in on-site wedding hair and makeup, Meg now works from her home salon in Beaver Bank with very limited spots for new clients.
In her spare time, Meg also loves to paint with watercolours, acrylics, and oils, and is a talented and established artist!

monique ryan
makeup artist - Hair Stylist - hand-tied extensions
Monique can be found doing hair and makeup in her home salon in North End Halifax, as well as on-site events in HRM. She loves doing hand-tied extensions, updos, vivid colours, and soft glam makeup, but is happy and eager to take on new clients of all types through the link below.
Monique has competed in and won several awards for hair; a gold medal for evening updo at Maritime Inspiration 2022, and 1st place for "Best Overall Stylist" at Skills Nova Scotia 2022.​
Outside of doing hair and makeup, Monique is also a talented dancer, circus artist, and fitness instructor. You can often find her around town stilt walking or dancing with fire!
